Reading Level of the Bear and the Piano
I am delighted to be featuring The Bear and the Pianoforte trilogy written and illustrated past the phenomenal, David Litchfield.
The Bear and the Piano took the world past storm in 2016, winning the Waterstones Children'southward book of the Yr. David's illustrations are spectacular and at that place is something so captivating near the idea of a behave cub finding a piano in the eye of the wood. We follow the journey of the young cub every bit he becomes a famous piano player.
The second story, The Bear, the Piano, the Canis familiaris and the Dabble, centres effectually retiring fiddle player Hector and his dog Hugo. Their friendship is tested when Hugo is offered the chance to join – the now very famous – bear's band on tour.
In the last chapter of bear'southward musical risk, The Bear, the Pianoforte, and Piddling Bear's Concert, Conduct's all-time concert days are behind him and he is now a father. The kickoff spread in this final book is a glorious reminder of the two previous books, so it felt similar a plumbing equipment to kick off this feature mail.
Simply earlier we swoop into volume three, hither is a sneak tiptop inside the first two books if you oasis't had a hazard to read them yet…
The Behave and the Piano

The Comport, the Piano, and Niggling Bear's Concert
In this last instalment of the trilogy, we meet Behave coming to the cease of his musical career and his priorities have changed: carry is now a father. But can picayune bear remind her dad how much his piano-playing days touched the lives of so many?
Having found the piano in the woods all those years ago as a immature bear cub, and achieving fame in New York, bear faced the reality of and then many creatives – the crowds slowly dwindling.
But little bears arrival takes away much of that sorrow. I think many parents will find themselves relating to that feeling. And I love this beautiful spread of begetter and daughter playing together.
The star of this third book is definitely footling deport. And when she stumbles across her father's piano, she refuses to believe that no one wants to hear his music anymore. So she comes up with a plan to go the whole band back together!
As much as I would dear to read dozens of comport and little bear books, I take to say, this felt similar the perfect way to stop bear'southward story. The trilogy has come full circle. From the lilliputian bear cub who found the pianoforte in the wood, finding stardom and his music dreams coming truthful, to his ain baby cub reconnecting him with his music years afterwards. David's illustrations are as gorgeous as ever. My picayune daughter loved pointing out all the details that link the 3 books together, like Hugo returning to visit bear. This is a truly stunning trilogy of picture books that showcase the joys of music, friendship and family unit.
